Jarrell, Randall
Randall Jarrell (1914-1965) deixà darrera seu una imponent producció de poesia, narrativa i crítica que li garanteix un lloc permanent en la literatura del Estats Units. A més a més de The Complete Poems (1969), la seva obra inclou Pictures from an Institution, una novel·la, Poetry and the Age, a Sad Heart at the Supermarket, una col·leció d'assaigs, The Third Book of Criticism, els contes per a infants The Gingerbread Rabbit, The Bat-Poet i The Animal Family, i una traducció en vers de la primera part de Faust, de Goethe. Rebé el National Book Award de poesia per The Woman of the Washington Zoo.
